Over the years, self-proclaimed film critic Kamaal R Khan has made a name for himself by bashing Bollywood. While he is often seen going back on his words, the filmmaker’s blunt statements and criticisms often receive mixed reactions from the netizens. Many lashed out at him recently, after a section of his ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ review went viral on social media.
The filmmaker while criticising the movie had gone on to body-shame Shraddha Kapoor for her bikini scenes. In the video uploaded on his YouTube channel, KRK bashed the movie. Not only did he speak ill about the lead actress of the film, he also compared her to actresses like Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif. He questioned the director Luv Ranjan on why he gave Shraddha bikini scenes, since she has nothing to show. Quoted by DNA, he said in his review, “Shraddha Kapoor ko baar baar bikini me dikhaya hai. Arey, Luv Ranjan sahib, aap ye toh bataiye – aap Shraddha ka kya dikhana chah rahe the? Na wo Deepika hai, Katrina hai, na Kareena hai. Toh aap kya dikhana chah rahe the? His commentary left many disgusted. Fans came out to support Shraddha and lashed out at his crass and nasty comments. They even questioned the filmmaker in the comment section, asking him who gave him the right to rate an actress like Shraddha. While many agreed with the other points made by him about the movie, others criticised KRK for his talking style and going harsh on the movie.
Release on March 8, the movie also starred Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.
